Environment Conservation

Promoting environmental awareness, responsible resource use, and community-led conservation for healthier and more resilient communities.

Our Work

Creating meaningful change through community action.

CARE Organization’s Environment Conservation program promotes environmental awareness and practical community action to protect natural resources and build healthier, more resilient communities. Through environmental education, community engagement, conservation activities, and awareness campaigns, we encourage people to understand the connection between a healthy environment, community wellbeing, and long-term resilience. The program promotes responsible management of natural resources, waste reduction, cleaner communities, tree planting, protection of local ecosystems, and environmentally responsible practices. We encourage communities to identify environmental challenges and participate in practical solutions that can be sustained locally. We also recognize the important role that young people, women, community leaders, institutions, and local stakeholders can play in protecting the environment. By bringing people together around shared environmental priorities, CARE seeks to strengthen local ownership of conservation efforts. Our goal is to help create communities that are environmentally conscious, actively involved in conservation, and better prepared to protect their natural resources for present and future generations.
